Still Learning
"Still Learning" is a podcast created by India Oxenberg, complementing her book of the same name—a personal narrative recounting her entrance into and subsequent escape from the NXIVM cult. The podcast delves into poignant narratives of abuse, shedding light on various avenues for overcoming trauma, ranging from therapeutic approaches to the exploration of psychedelic healing methods.

India Oxenberg reached out to me for the design of her podcast's logo and color palette. Desiring a vibe that's light-hearted and subtly quirky, she sought a design that would mirror her personality. Additionally, she expressed a specific interest in incorporating a mushroom into the overall logo design.

The logo design encompasses two versions, each complemented by distinctive logo icons. The primary logo features a mushroom positioned above the "i," while the secondary version incorporates a heart over the "i," designed for use on a smaller scale. The choice of a serif font was deliberate, with the loops and links of the "g" and the swash of the "S" mirroring the curves found in mushrooms and rounded hearts. The smaller logo icon, fashioned as a badge or marker, seamlessly integrates with various collateral and promotional materials.

Book Cover Design

In the design exploration phase, I experimented with a range of concepts, from lighter, more playful illustrative styles to more serious and introspective imagery. The chosen design captures the weight of India’s journey and the empowerment at the heart of her story.

The final design for India's book cover features a confident portrait of India Oxenberg, set against her signature bold orange. This color, already a key element in her brand, reinforces her voice while creating an eye-catching appearance.
